Oh So Complicated

[Sweater: Salvation Army; Jeans: Citizens of Humanity (similar); Booties: Report; Ring: Forever 21]

This sweater was one of  my favorite thrifted finds yet. The pattern perplexes me—is it part of  a family crest? Does it have pineapples without the spikes? Deer? Mermaids?

Either way, it's complexity demands simple styling: my favorite jeans and black boots. Following Coco Chanel's advice ("Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.”) was a must here.

  1. Sometimes the piece you pay the least is the best you ever have. Reminds me of a top I bought at a factory outlet sale.. I overused the top to the max!

Drop by and say "Hi!" sometime :)

  3. Never feel obliged to tone down a 'complex' print; you can always pair with another print to scare people off! ;)

  7. Absolutely love that sweater! You're right, the pattern is hard to name, but it's stunning either way. Love that you let the sweater do the talking and kept the rest of your look simple!

  20. Though I myself am a thrifter, it always kills me when someone gets something cool like your sweater, that I want to have, but cannot because there's only one! Jealous!
